Our Regular Programs

The South Grenville Food Bank offers several regular, ongoing programs to assist those in need in our community.

Food Hamper

The points-based regular allotment encourages clients to choose the food and household items they need.

Fresh Options for Clients

We strive to provide fresh produce and meat options to our clients.

Plant a Row / Grow a Row

Gardeners are invited to grow an extra row of produce for the food bank.

Agency 2 Agency

Collaborating with other service agencies in identifying and helping clients.

Tools for Launch

The South Greville Food Bank and CSE Consulting are offering groceries for lunches over a two-week period when you begin a new job.

Standard items include condiments, bread, eggs, lunch meat, milk, cheese, oranges, apples, etc.

Accommodations for food sensitivities/allergies and special requests can be provided. To be eligible for this program, you must reside in North or South Grenville, and be starting employment or training/education.

Referrals are submitted every two weeks, with the participant receiving two weeks of food at a time.

Child and Youth Programs

There are several programs in place at the South Grenville Food Bank to assist children and youth.

Kids Snack Packs

Every school-age child receives a snack pack.

Baby Shelf

Families with an infant can receive free baby diapers, formula, and baby food.

Bottles for Babies

Collecting alcohol and pop bottles and cans, as well as scrap metal, to support our baby and children programs. Monies raised from this program are used for a variety of needs within our operation.

Birthday Cake Club

For the month of their birthday, children in school will receive a cake mix, canned icing, and sprinkles.

Additional Support

The South Grenville Food Bank offers Ensure and Depends for seniors and clients with health issues.

Delivery may be available for clients living with a severe disability, living in a rural area, and seniors.

Additional monthly food hamper and student offerings provide further support to those in need.
